Myka is a native Lawrencian and owns a pit bull named Hank. She started last year as an intern through Free State High School and now officially works for Googols. Myka is working on a Child Development Associates (CDA) and enjoys hiking, painting, thrift shopping, and watching movies. |

Hope Gregory is a native to Lawrence. She is currently studying psychology at KU and plans to graduate in 2024. After earning her Bachelor’s degree, she wants to go to Grad school. She has been teaching and working with children for the past three years. She’s volunteered through her church and various summer camps including Camp Barnabas and New City Fellowship in St. Louis. Outside of work and school, Miss Hope enjoys painting, drawing, thrift shopping, and watching movies. |

Taiya and her two dogs are native to Lawrence. She is studying human growth & development at USD497 and has learned how important this stage of early childhood development is in life. She joined Googols so she could be a part of that exciting period in children’s lives. In her free time, Taiya likes being outside and visiting with friends. |

Kelly moved to McLouth, KS, from Albany, MO, where she lived for 19 years. She grew up in Shawnee and graduated from DeSoto, so she’s feeling ‘home’ again. While in Albany she worked for the Albany R-III school district for 10 years in their preschool programs. Prior to that she stayed home to raise her two children. When she’s not at work you can usually find her at her son’s school events or her daughter’s softball games! She says, “I’m a big kid at heart and love just sitting and talking to the kids at Googols, coloring and playing with play-doh.” |

Micaela is a native Lawrencian with four-years-experience as an aide before coming to Googols. They are Ms. Kelly’s full-time assistant. In their spare time, they love playing with their dog Gabby, playing video games and scrapbooking. Piper is from KCK and loves on her 3 adorable kitties. She joined Googols in April of 2021. She is currently a junior in nursing school at Baker University working on a Bachelor’s degree. As the daughter of a preschool teacher, she grew up in the early childhood environment. Even in high school she took psychology and child development classes. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and has come onto the new hobby of fostering shelter cats or dogs! She loves music, preferably live, and enjoys going to concerts. Ms. Martin is the Fours lead at Googols. Who doesn't know Ms. Martin? A school teacher in the Lawrence Public School district for 19 years, she taught children from kindergarten through 6th grade. She's worked mostly in Lawrence, but a few years in Topeka as well. After retiring she continued to sub in the district before joining us here at Googols of Learning in August of 2008. A teacher with seemingly endless energy, Ms. Martin knows how to encourage the children to learn. In the classroom she is the teacher as well as a playmate, just as likely to get up and dance and play kickball with the children! Maybe it's those 4 boys she raised! |

Ms. Georgie was raised in Junction City, KS. She recently graduated from KU with her BA in Unified Early Childhood Education. She was a childcare aide at Flint Hills Church for 5 years before coming to Googols. She lives with her cat, her gecko, and her turtle and in her free time enjoys sleeping and watching Netflix! Ms. Georgie has strong beliefs about her obligations to children:

Mr. Diego originally hails from Kansas City, but is currently in Lawrence to attend KU. He is studying social work and wants to minor in applied behavioral science for Early Childhood Education. Before starting at Googols in September 2020, Mr. Diego worked at a summer camp and volunteered at two child care programs. He enjoys his two dogs and three cats, hanging out with friends, listening to music, riding bikes, and working out. Regarding young children, Mr. Diego believes, "They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel." |

Samareah is originally from Kansas City, but local to Lawrence now and attending Free State High School. She was recommended to us by another of our caring teachers (and her sister!) Sariah Love! Bennet is from Spring Hill, KS but currently lives in Lawrence and is a Sophomore at Washburn University studying Music Education. Bennett has no children, but does have a cat she treats like one! In her free time she mostly likes playing video games or going on walks and hikes. Her philosophy of education is “Teaching is my biggest passion, I try to do everything I can to give that energy to my kids, and make sure they know that there is nothing else I would be rather doing than spending time with them!” |

Pamela is originally from North Carolina. She has two children who are KU grads and a 3rd child in high school here in Lawrence. Prior to coming to Googols, she worked as a substitute Teacher, primarily with kindergarten classes, and as an K-1 academic Para-educator. While she has worked in education she also studied art at Kansas State, and graduated from North Carolina State with a BA in History. Pamela’s passion is art and in her spare time she works as a freelance artist. Pamela believes in Albert Einstein’s words, “It is the supreme Art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.” |

Ms. Cheryl is a native of Ottawa and has lived in Lawrence for 10 years. She has a bachelors in elementary education and taught for 20 years, kindergarten through 4th grade. She has 2 adult children and 3 beautiful granddaughters. When not spending time with them, she loves taking pictures and is learning to play the ukulele. |
