We look forward to meeting you. Googols of Learning Child Development Center is a full-service childcare facility in Lawrence, Kansas, serving children between 1 year and school age. We offer a complete range of services including quality, hands-on, and developmentally-appropriate educational programming designed to meet the needs of your child. Googols of Learning is the only preschool facility in Lawrence with an indoor climbing structure! Regardless of the extreme Kansas weather our children get to climb, crawl, and slide everyday! Getting daily exercise is very important as well as just getting out of the classroom to stretch and recharge so your child can focus a bit better when returning for the next activity. Googols also loves science! We have our own Science Museum for the children to explore. This is another additional use room available to children at Googols when we find it too icy and cold or 110° outside! All preschool classrooms have regular science experiments they will either participate in or have demonstrated to them. This is "Wow-Factor" stuff, the kind that awes and makes your child question and wonder about the world around them. Our children gain experiences in Spanish and American Sign Language each day, based on their weekly theme. Students also learn proper public behavior skills through our Social Etiquette Program, such as learning to introduce yourself, how to behave on a playdate and table manners, just to name a few. Googols of Learning is also very excited to offer The Animated Alphabet and Handwriting Without Tears curriculums to our students, which are currently in use by the Lawrence Public Schools. We work everyday to prepare your child for grade school. We now offer full day private kindergarten which meets or exceeds the district and state standards. Whether your child attends public kindergarten or stays with us for that year and then leaves in first grade, our goal is to make your preschool child's transition to the Lawrence Public Schools a seamless and stress-free one. Googols also offers After-School care with transportation from many Lawrence schools. We have school age camps during out of school time like spring and summer vacations or just during Parent/Teacher conferences. Call for space availability.
